Hi Product people,
In this week's episode of Product Thinking, I had the pleasure of speaking with Nan Yu, Head of Product at Linear. We explored how Linear is revolutionizing project management for software teams by focusing on user experience and efficiency, and how they are incorporating AI to streamline product management workflows.
Nan shared fascinating insights on how they approach project scopes and development cycles, aiming to make software development both efficient and enjoyable. We also delved into the integration of AI in reducing mundane tasks, allowing product managers to focus more on strategic and customer-centric activities.
"When people say what's the estimate for this thing? What they're doing is they're fixing scope. With a fixed scope, how much time is it gonna take? We encourage people to understand that fixed scopes, especially big fixed scopes, are almost certainly incorrect. You're not gonna build the right thing."
We discussed the importance of creating a seamless development environment where the tools serve the users rather than complicate their workflows. This episode is packed with valuable insights for anyone interested in enhancing their product management practices.
If you're curious about how to align product strategies with real-world customer needs while leveraging the latest in AI technology, you won't want to miss this episode. Tune in to hear the full conversation! Let me know your thoughts on my latest LinkedIn post!
